About

According to the site:

MIA is a free, anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian and revolutionary media in Marseille and its surroundings. This site aims to relay information and events that fall within this perspective. It is run and moderated by an autonomous collective from any union and any political party and happily dispenses with the presence of media professionals.

This site is not the property of a collective or a current, it aims to be a tool that reflects the diversity of ideas and practices that cross the struggles that are part of an emancipatory perspective, and against all forms of domination. Any person or local group concerned with the objectives of the site is invited to offer their articles; writing articles is not reserved for members of the collective.

All contributions are welcome: analyzes, call for events, briefs, invitation to events (screenings, discussions, support evenings). In terms of form, all media have their place: surveys, stories, interviews, testimonies, meeting, event or audience reports, debates, video, sound, image, drawing, etc.

We do our best to process and verify information, within the limits of our contingencies, however we are not immune to error, factual or judgmental. In the same way that we want to be critical of mass media and their dynamics, we invite you to analyze the content published on MIA with a critical eye, to cross-check the information, and to share it with us. This site is not run without accomplices, comrades and allies. In order to exist as many readers as there are authors, it needs help (in moderation as well as writing), relays, support, discussions and meetings.

MIA is part of a network of information sites which share the same objectives, the Mutu network . This network is an attempt to help each other, to pool resources and technical tools, but also to exchange views on our practices and on the challenges of information in struggles.
