Regarding the DNL Twitter Account

I have decided to stop using Twitter for now. It is a cancerous echo chamber (although it is not unique in this regard as far as toxic social networks go). Non-mainstream opinions are invalid. Half 👏 of 👏 the 👏 tweets 👏 look 👏 like 👏 this. There is rarely an original thought. Too many “hot takes.” Blatant censorship. The pandering is obnoxious. And I prefer not to support companies that provide advertisers with the “IP address[es] and mobile device advertising identifiers.” of users. Awful everything.

With that said, obviously Twitter is a useful platform for some and there are a lot of interesting users worth following. @Darkdotfail and @onionltd are good replacements for the DNL Twitter account. Both are superior to this site in almost every way. @Darknetstreet and @darknetinside are good as well. There are dozens of interesting researchers to follow. Too many to name.

Mastodon and Pleroma are good alternatives to the platform itself.
