Cases Investigated by the Northern California Illicit Digital Economy Task Force (NCIDETF)
The Sacramento-based NCIDE task force (composed of Homeland Security Investigations, the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the United States Postal Service OIG, the Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Administration) investigates violations of U.S. law involving cryptocurrencies and dark web marketplaces in the greater Northern California area and beyond.
