Empire Vendor NeverPressedRX Arrested by the FBI

A Maryland man accused of running the “NeverPressedRX” vendor account on Empire market was arrested for unlawful distribution of medications and money laundering. NeverPressedRX sold a variety of prescription medications on marketplaces as well as through Wickr.

According to court documents, the FBI began the investigation against 32-year-old William Anderson Burgamy IV, of Hanover, in December 2019. They started the investigation by reviewing NeverPressedRX’s profile on Empire market where they found the vendor’s email address, Jabber address, and Wickr username. The investigators then made contact with the vendor through the accounts listed on the vendor’s profile.

Undercover Purchases

The first undercover purchase was made by an FBI undercover agent who contacted NeverPressedRX via Wickr on January 03, 2020. The communication between the undercover agent and NeverPressedRX was later moved to email through the vendor’s public email address: NeverPressedRX@secmail.pro. On January 6, NeverPressedRX emailed the undercover agent a list of controlled substances available for purchase. The list included Xanax, diazepam, oxycodone, hydrocodone, Adderall, and tramadol.

The undercover agent ordered 20 oxycodone pills and sent 0.02400203 Bitcoins to an address provided by NeverPressedRX. On January 8, the undercover agent received a package that contained 20 oxycodone pills.

The second undercover purchase was placed by an FDA Special Agent on January 14. The agent ordered 22 Adderall pills. The agent was asked to pay via the bitcoin same address as the one issued to the FBI agent during the first undercover purchase. The agent received the pills on January 17.

On January 15, the undercover agents received an email from NeverPressedRX titled “NPRX Important Updates.” The FBI established that the vendor had sent the email via Mailchimp.

The FBI contacted Mailchimp and acquired records associated with NeverPressedRX@secmail.pro. The vendor had created the Mailchamp account from a Comcast IP address.

Comcast records Burgamy as the Comcast subscriber associated with the IP address provided by Coinbase.

Physical Surveillance

On January 22, and after making the third and fourth undercover purchases, the investigators observed and photographed Burgamy exiting his Hanover residence via the garage, entering a black 2019 Lexus SUV with Florida license plates, and driving to the Odenton Post Office. They subsequently observed Burgamy walking with United States Postal Service mailing envelopes in his hands. Burgamy then placed the mailing envelopes in a blue post office box located outside the Odenton Post Office. Burgamy then returned to his car and drove away.

After Burgamy left, a United States Postal Inspector retrieved seven United States Postal Service mailing envelopes from the post box. Two of the mailing envelopes had shipping addresses matching those provided to NeverPressedRX by the FBI and FDA undercover agents on January 21. The packages were photographed and returned to the mailbox.

Coinbase

Analysis of NeverPressedRX’s bitcoin addresses led the investigators to Burgamy’s Coinbase account. Coinbase provided law enforcement with the IP address associated with the Coinbase account as well as a picture of the account owner. The IP address matched the IP address Burgamy had used to create the Mailchimp account and investigators recognized Burgamy from the picture provided by Coinbase.

The Arrest

On April 9, 2020, investigators executed a search warrant at Burgamy’s residence. The investigators found and seized eight firearms and thousands of prescription pills.

Burgamy was subsequently arrested and charged with distribution of controlled substances and money laundering. If found guilty, Burgamy could be sentenced to a maximum of 40 years in prison.

The vendor had created the Mailchamp account from a Comcast IP address and then used that for darknet activities. So happy these low hanging fruit exist.

Jesus, talk about low hanging fruit. Nothing like dealing the most prison time generating drugs after giving the Fed-collaborating Coinbase a picture of yourself. Oh, by the way, set up a mailchimp address of me as well.

I remember seeing this dudes listing on empire…. what a shame they busted someone that actually sold legit pharms. Bust these assholes pressing fake, shitty pharms with fent and god knows what else and selling them as legit. Also, here’s one more reason not to mess with coinbase.

I don’t really belive what is written here, if you ask me police might have used some illegal technics to find this guy, they did before and they will also do in future.
Does anyone have proof that he was using a Mailchamp account? How does the police know? Does it leave a signature or what, if it did I don’t think he would have taken this because he is also a human that knows what is a dumb Idea.

Another theory which is most likely the case is that he got fucked over Wickr, there tons of people warning about this closedsource App. There were times when I got asked on a daily basis if I could provide my Wickr name because they wanted to do DirectDeals…. sad

And the police won’t give out the fact that they got him over WICKR because every wanna be DNVendor uses this dumb APP because anyone told him so on Dread.

Stop using Wickr and get your fucking OPSEC done

Well, it seems this was avoidable…

My assumption is the combination of being a tard with his OPSEC, selling pills claiming to come from a US pharmacy, and operating in the DC/Baltimore metro area all led to his inevitable and quite prompt downfall

so what “private” email companies is mailchimp running? these are not safe. Secmail is done. thats it for squirrelmail. mailchimp obviously hands over everything the feds ask for. those are not private emails then, none are trustworthy. is elude.in part of mailchimp too?

HOW DOES ONE EVEN GET THOUSANDS OF PILLS ANYMORE ? EVEN IF YOU GET A BUNCH OF SCRIPT WRITTEN THEY WILL SURVEY THE PHARMACY AND DO AN INVESTIGATION. MAYBE THAT’S HOW HE GOT CAUGHT???
THERES MORE TO THIS STORY

People overreacting about secmail lmao. It’s safe if you use their onion and PGP everything. What happened was vendor used mailchimp to send bulk emails and registered service with his secmail. Feds checked email headers and it would be obvious if it was sent from Mailchimp or squirrelmail. That is what started the trail.

so Mailchimp DOES hand over any and all records asked for by the USA federal government LE agencies? so then dont use a USA based email service, like secmail. because you are leaving a trail traced easily from party A to party B. They cant read a PGP message, but can see where the message came from and to who it went. almost every vendor uses their name in title of their secmail, this can be used as evidence in a court of law, as evidence of conspiracy. this is the equivalent of a pen register on telephonic surveillance. USA LE agencies can access secmail, and any USA based law enforcement agency. Mailchimp should be dead, not ever used.

People get a lot of pills by sponsoring others. Paying for their DR visit and paying to get script filled. Many different types of people with many different ailments. Along with compensating the person just for being able to do this. Or you can rob a few pharmacies, or a pharmacy distribution center(pill mill).

When you sign up for wicker it takes your imei number.
When you make a direct deal or even talk to someone on wicker 9 times out of 10 you are talking to some sort of LE.
Once you give them enough words for a warrant, they contact wicker, corner wicker either give us the info we want or we take you down. Wicker now hands over the imei number associated with the wicker screen name they requested.
Now they track your movements based on cell tower info. No warrant needed for this info, don’t trust me just look how they are watching covid patients movements.
Now they have your location info at their hands, they place an order, follow your location data right to the drop box.
Morals here, don’t carry your phone anywhere with you ever, and have trusted people make your drops.
Never and I mean never go off a DNM site to make a deal or make any sort of contact with anyone.
LE plays both sides buyers and sellers, hell they buy off their own because they don’t even know who’s who any more.

What is wrong with Wickr? As long as u don’t provide pictures with meta data and give away things with the text messages there isn’t anything wrong with Wickr. It doesn’t give out location or anything like that.

It doesn’t need to give out location when you have wicker your phones imei number when you made your wicker account.
It pays to read the fine print, in case you aren’t familiar with the patriot act, but nothing is private unless you’re using the dark web.

  2. Doesnt use a bitcoin ATM anonymous to buy bitcoins, uses coinbase instead.
  3. Physically drops the packages off at a mailbox himself.
  4. Puts an ACTUAL prescription bottle IN the photos on his page.
I could keep going, these guys had no idea wtf they were doing. Should have stuck to the legal stuff buddy.

how can all the stories we read have STUPID STUPID mistakes. my theory is that these stories are covered up to make people on DNM think “im not that stupid i wont get caught” when really there is something else going on behind the scenes we dont know about!
