Monopoly, one of new markets that sparked some attention on Dread, has opened up shop, according to an announcement on Dread. The market is walletless, userless, and Monero-only.

Greetings, we are pleased to inform you that Monopoly is ready for live use. We have a small number of vendors currently listed and we are increasing that amount as and when new vendors request a spot. If you do not see your favorite vendor on Monopoly then send them a message and let them know.

We have placed a limit of 5 simultaneous orders per vendor to account for any possible meltdowns with our payment verification system. Once we are satisfied everything is running as it should we will increase these limits based on the vendors trust.

This concept can work, but it can also be sabotaged by shills, other markets, law enforcement, and pretty much anybody else that cannot stomach control being taken away from the market and back into users hands. The choice is ultimately yours, the entire Monopoly team has stepped up and risked our freedom to see if we can’t all build something amazing, a big go fuck yourself to law enforcement, trolls, fake news, and scammers that have plagued this community for far too long.
