PA Man Admits Attempting to Buy Meth on the Darkweb
A man from Kane, Pennsylvania, admitted attempting to purchase methamphetamine on the darkweb for the purpose of redistribution.
Michael Carter Anderson, 43, admitted he had attempted to possess with intent to distribute more than 50 grams […] of methamphetamine. Four law enforcement agencies–the United States Postal Inspection Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the McKean County Detectives, and the McKean County Drug Taskforce–investigated Anderson.
The feds indicted Anderson in September 2020. In November 2020, Anderson entered a plea of not guilty. He changed the plea to guilty on June 29, 2021.
For this attempted purchase of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, Anderson faces up to 50 years in prison. His sentencing hearing is sentenced for November 22, 2021.
